All data is logged against a mobile phone number.  This data can be used to build up a picture of the likes and preferences of the individual and therefore tailored advertising can be sent to their device. 
The advertising can contain links to mobile portal pages which can contain text and pictures of a product, which could then be purchased through the mobile, either by text or phone call.
